Salm 46: 1-5. 'S e Dia as tèarmann dhuinn gu beachd,
Psalm 46: 1-5. God is our refuge and our strength.

'S e Dia as tèarmann dhuinn gu beachd, ar spionnadh e 's ar treis. Eadar-theangachadh de Salm 46: 1-5, (God is our refuge and our strength). Fonn air a mholadh: Stroudwater (Wilkens' Psalmody, 1750).

Salm 46: 1-5. 'S e Dia as tèarmann dhuinn gu beachd,
Psalm 46: 1-5. God is our refuge and our strength.

'S e Dia as tèarmann dhuinn gu beachd,
ar spionnadh e 's ar treis:
An aimsir carraid agus teinn,
ar cobhair e ro dheas.

Mar sin ged ghluaist' an talamh trom,
chan adhbhar eagail dhuinn:
Ged thilgeadh fòs na slèibhtean mòr'
am buillsgean fairg' is tuinn.

Na h uisgeachan le beucaich bhuirb,
ged rachadh thar a chèil':
Len ataireachd ged bhiodh air chrith
na beanntan àrd' gu lèir.

Tha abhainn ann, le 'sruthan sèimh,
nì cathair Dhè ro ait;
Fìor àite naomh an tì as àird',
am bheil sìor-chòmhnaidh aig.

Tha Dia na meadhon innte staigh;
mar sin cha ghluaisear i;
Oir cuideachadh is còmhnadh leath'
's e Dia gu moch a nì.

God is our refuge and our strength,
in straits a present aid;
therefore, although the earth remove,
we will not be afraid:

Though hills amidst the seas be cast;
though waters roaring make,
and troubled be; yea, though the hills
by swelling seas do shake.

A river is, whose streams make glad
the city of our God;
the holy place, wherein the Lord
most high hath his abode.

God in the midst of her doth dwell;
nothing shall her remove:
The Lord to her an helper will,
and that right early, prove.
